what is freedom: defined

The Story

This is a journey toward freedom did not begin with faith or certainty, but with childhood wounds and a belief that his worth had to be earned. For years, he chased validation through danger, success, and relationships—appearing admired on the outside while remaining deeply fractured within.

After a devastating motorcycle accident left him broken beyond medical hope, Jeff encountered a love he had never earned and could not lose. Freedom: Defined was born from that transformation—for those tired of striving and ready for something real.

The Teaching

Jeff’s teaching grows out of lived experience, not theory. His work centers on the difference between striving for freedom and receiving it—exploring how trauma, shame, and performance can distort faith, and how healing begins when identity is no longer earned, but given.

Through his books My Daily Bread and Freedom, along with guided courses, Jeff invites others into a faith rooted in presence, honesty, and lasting transformation.

The Invitation

Jeff’s work is meant to be lived out in community. He speaks with churches, small groups, and recovery spaces—meeting people where they are with honesty, humility, and hope.

For those who want to go deeper, Jeff offers a guided course experience that includes teaching, reflection, and shared work, available in person or virtually. Whether through a single talk or an extended journey, the invitation is the same: stop striving, and begin receiving.

Let it lead you to discover the profound depth of a heart transformed by His grace.

Freedom

Feedom: Defined (Course)

My Daily Bread

From a childhood of seeking adrenaline to a life chasing validation through excess, Dardenne’s true freedom was always out of reach. His journey through addiction and a search for purpose only left him empty. But in a moment of crisis—a life-altering accident—he found himself turning back, rediscovering that true freedom isn’t found in escape, but in surrender. This is the story of a prodigal heart called home, and the peace that only God can bring.

Feedom: Defined (Course)

This book is the course text for Freedom Defined, a 6-step online course from Jeff Dardenne Ministries, LLC.(Colorado Springs). It describes the author’s personal journey from a lifetime of poor choices and desperate searching for validation — even pleading for death — to finding God’s presence and freedom. The course (video + workbook) leads participants through biblical principles showing how God designed us, how Jesus brings freedom, and how to stop seeking completeness and approval from the world.
